SEISMIC SAFETY COMMISSION UPDATES

Go behind the scenes at UC San Diego as a five story mockup of a hospital, including a surgical suite, is subjected to dramatic earthquakes in order to better understand how the many complex systems within hospital buildings perform after earthquakes. Teaming up with the California Seismic Safety Commission, this UCSD-TV documentary explores the history of seismic safety for California's hospital infrastructure, and what is being done to secure its future.

Where? When? Will you be prepared?
What is Shake Out? The Earthquake Country Alliance (ECA) organizes California's annual statewide earthquake drill, with more than 11.4 million participants in 2012. ECA provides valuable earthquake preparedness information, interactive maps, games, quizzes, news, and events. We all must become better prepared for major earthquakes, and also practice how to protect ourselves when they happen. The purpose of the ShakeOut is to help people and organizations do both.
